Privacy policy for Itchigoo apps (Checkers, Othello, Poker calculators)

Last Updated: August 7, 2025

We at Itchigoo are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications (“Apps”), including Checkers, Othello, and Poker Calculators. By downloading, installing, or using our Apps, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Apps.

This Policy applies to all users worldwide and complies with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland, as well as U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and similar laws in other states (e.g., Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, and more as of 2025).

We may update this Policy from time to time; changes will be posted here, and your continued use of the Apps constitutes acceptance.

1. Data We Collect

  1. We collect limited data to provide and improve our Apps’ functionality, such as online gameplay and anonymous usage statistics. We collect no more information than necessary.

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: Such as device ID (e.g., IDFA), IP address (anonymized), and unique advertising identifiers. This is collected by third-party ad providers during ad interactions.
  • Geolocation/Location Data: Approximate location (e.g., city, state; if you opt-in during online games, for multiplayer matchmaking or in-game display to opponents for a more engaging, personal, and human experience). This data is collected but only for the session duration and is never stored beyond it. You can revoke this permission at any time via your device settings.
  • Internet/Network Activity: Usage patterns, session duration, and interactions with features/ads. This is collected and anonymized.
  • Device and Technical Data: Automatically collected info like device type, OS version, IP address (anonymized), and unique device identifiers for troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Advertising Data: When you interact with ads in our free Apps, third-party ad providers may collect unique identifiers (e.g., advertising ID like IDFA on iOS) to serve targeted ads. See Section 3 for details.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., health, race, or financial info) or inferences from usage data.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data solely for:

  • Providing core App features, like online matchmaking.
  • Improving user experience through anonymous analytics.
  • Serving ads in free versions to support development.
  • Complying with legal obligations.

Under GDPR, our legal basis for processing is:

  • Consent (e.g., for location or personalized ads).
  • Legitimate interests (e.g., analytics for app improvement, where it doesn’t override your rights).

For U.S. state laws, we process data based on business purposes like service provision and advertising, with opt-out options for sale/sharing.

3. Advertising and Third-Party Providers

Our free Apps display ads to keep them accessible. We partner with the following ad networks for personalized and non-personalized ads, rewarded videos, banners and mediations: AdMob (run by Google), IronSource / Unity / LevelPlay, AppLovin.

These providers may use cookies, unique identifiers (e.g., IDFA), or similar technologies to deliver relevant ads based on your interests, device, or usage patterns. For example, they might track ad interactions to measure effectiveness or prevent fraud. This data is pseudonymous and not linked to your real identity by us.

For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for personalized ads via a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) compliant with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2). Upon first launch, you’ll see a consent form explaining data uses (e.g., personalized advertising, device storage/access). You can manage options, consent to specific purposes/vendors, or opt out. Without consent, you’ll see non-personalized ads. For iOS users, we also request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission for IDFA access, as required.

We do not serve personalized ads to children or in child-directed content.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

  • With ad providers (as described above) for ad delivery. Note: Under U.S. state laws like CPRA, sharing identifiers for targeted ads may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We disclose the following categories for such purposes: identifiers, geolocation data, and internet/network activity. No sensitive personal information is sold or shared.
  • If required by law, to enforce our terms, or protect rights/safety.
  • In case of business transfer (e.g., merger), with notice to you.

Ad providers’ privacy practices are governed by their policies:

  • AdMob: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • IronSource: https://developers.is.com/ironsource-mobile/air/ironsource-mobile-privacy-policy/
  • Unity: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
  • AppLovin: https://www.applovin.com/privacy/

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this Policy. Here’s how we handle retention for specific categories:

  • Identifiers: Managed by ad providers and retained until reset via device settings or app deletion.
  • Geolocation Data: Retained only for the session duration.
  • Internet/Network Activity: Anonymized and kept indefinitely for trends.

You can delete the App to remove local data. For U.S. users, request deletion via contact below.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data. However, no system is 100% secure; use at your own risk.

7. Your Privacy Rights and How to Exercise Them

We operate no servers of our own and therefore never host or store user-identifiable data. The only information under our direct control is (i) aggregated, de-identified analytics held locally for crash-tracking or balancing, and (ii) any emails you voluntarily send to our support address. If you ask to access, delete, correct, or port data, we verify your identity and then confirm that we hold nothing that can be linked back to you, so there is nothing for us to erase or transmit.

All game preferences, save files, and progress remain exclusively on your device or, if you choose to sign in to Apple Game Center, on Apple’s servers. We have no administrative access to Game Center data; you can delete or reset it yourself in iOS by going to Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage, selecting the game, and tapping Delete Data, or by signing out of Game Center.

Device identifiers (IDFA/GAID), approximate location, and ad-interaction events may be collected independently by the advertising partners listed in Section 3, each acting as its own data controller. To exercise rights over that data you may:

  • Reopen the in-app consent screen (“Revoke Consent” button) when concerned (GDPR) and withdraw or modify consent;

  • Reset or delete your advertising identifier

    • iOS: Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking Apple Support

  • Contact the partners directly via the links in Section 3; or

  • Ask us to forward your request—we will relay it within 10 business days and confirm when completed.

We respond to every valid request within one month (extendable by up to two additional months for complex or multiple requests) as required by Article 12 GDPR and equivalent U.S. state laws. If we hold no personal data about you, we will tell you so, meeting our duty under Article 15 GDPR. No fee is charged unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Exercising these rights will never result in denial of service, changes to gameplay, or price increases.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn of such, we delete it.

9. International Transfers

Data may be processed outside your region (e.g., ad providers’ servers). We ensure adequate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) for GDPR compliance. For U.S. users, transfers comply with state laws where applicable.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy; check back periodically. Significant changes will be notified in-app.
